Clement T. Ofuani, MBF, FCA, ACTI, AIIN, MIoD is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Insurer with extensive experience in banking, financial consulting, auditing, insurance, corporate finance, public policy formulation, economic planning, operations research and management spanning nearly 30 years and across different economic sectors in Nigeria. He was the pioneer Commissioner for Economic Planning in Delta State, Nigeria and later Economic Adviser to the Governor of Delta State and was responsible for planning and funding critical public infrastructure in the State including developing Public Private Partnerships.
He was involved in raising the Delta State 5 Billion Naira First Revenue Bond (2002-2007) for infrastructure development in 2002 and was one time Senior Special Assistant to Nigeria’s President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua on Policy covering every sector of Nigeria’s development including Rail, Power, and Petroleum.After the death of President Yar’Adua, he was retained by President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan as Senior Special Assistant on Presidential Matters where he was responsible for the Presidential Diary and the efficient management of the President’s time.Ofuani left Government at the end of the administration on May 29, 2011 and returned to the private sector where he is currently, the Principal Partner, Ofuani Maidoh & Co (Chartered Accountants), Chairman, Prosure Insurance Brokers Limited, Director in:
Globim Corporation (Canada), Income Electrix Limited (a Power and Engineering Company), Skypower Technologies Ltd (an electricity power company) and Power Acumen Limited (an international Power Consulting Company.) Ofuani holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from University of Nigeria, Nsukka and Master of Banking and Finance from University of Lagos. In addition, he is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria, an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria.
